Bali Zoo: “Nature’s Education Center” is an extremely well kept animal park located in Singapadu near Ubud. Daily programs include animal feeding (lions, crocodiles, tigers etc.) as well as animal petting e.g. you can touch and hold various birds, a crocodile and mammals. It’s a fun day

ATV Quad & Quad Tour: An adventurous journey off-the-beaten track on big engine ATV’s through lush forests, rice fields and on a beautiful beach. This experience is really breathtaking. We have tested quite a few providers, and picked this one which we found the best. Particularly the sunset tour is incredible.
Golf
Playing Golf in Bali is a wonderful experience. The gold courses are special and beautifully set into this tropical landscape. The “Bali Handara Kosaido Country Club” near Bedugul in the mountains is probably Bali’s most attractive golf course – although quite far out. There is also a 18-hole course at the “Bali Golf & Country Club” in Nusa Dua near the Bali Hilton, a 9-hole course at the Grand Bali Beach Hotel in Sanur, and the new “Nirwana Bali Golf Club” with a 18-hole course near TTanS
Surfing
The most challenging of Bali’s famous surfing spots are near Ulu Watu (only for experts in top physical condition who are comfortable surfing over coral reefs on large, powerful waves that break in shallow water) and along Bali’s West coast North of Canggu; the best time is during the dry season from June to September. But there are many more great waves and in the last few years some goods ones came into spotlight on Lembongan and Ceningan Island. Beginners can start quite safely at Kuta Beach, legian Beach and Seminyak Beach, where many many vendors rent you a board for ca. 50.000Rp per hour. A more or less motivated surf teacher costs you ca. 100.000Rp per hour or 90min.

Bali and the surrounding Islands (Nusa Lembongan Ceningan and Penida) are world class dive spots. Many certified scuba centers offer scuba diving courses and diving tours with experienced guides and equipment from one day to several days. The best Bali diving sites (some with ship wrecks) are along Bali’s East cost near Candi Dasa, Amed and Tulamben.
Paragliding: Located on the Bukit (the hill South of the airport), a well-trained instructor accompanies you on a 20 minute tandem flight over the most spectacular strip of Bali’s coastline.
White Water Rafting: Several companies offer exciting white water rafting tours (grade 2 to grade 4 rapids) on the Ayung river North-West of Ubud and — during certain times of the year — also on the Unda river North of Klungkung. You pass waterfalls and volcanic cliffs, deep sided gorges, tranquil rice terraces and remote villages. From morning to afternoon, around 60-80US$ per person including transfers from and to your hotel and lunch.
Other Organized Adventures: Lake and Sea Kayaking, Jungle Trekking, and Mountain Cycling are arranged by the companies listed above.

The Botanical Garden, Ubud: This covers an area of five hectares and accommodates a natural ravine. There are an Orchid Garden, a vast collection of ferns, palms, bamboos and tropical trees, as well as Bali’s first maze.
Tennis & Squash: Some 5-star hotels offer tennis courts which can also be booked by outside guests.Take a stroll through Denpasar’s bird market near the northern end of Jalan Veteran where you see not only a large variety of tropical birds but also tropical fish, cats and dogs, monkeys etc.But this is nothing for the faint hearted. Animal welfare is still not really a growing concept here.
