The Jakarta Globereports that AirAsiaX Indonesia – the long-haul division of the low-cost carrier, will start operating direct non-stop flights between Bali and Tokyo on May 24, 2017.
AirAsiaX announced its new route following approval for the service being granted by the Indonesian and Japanese governments.
Dedy Kurniawan, CEO of AirAsiaX said on Tuesday, March 21, 2017: "We would like to thank both the Japanese and Indonesian ministries and all other relevant authorities for their support. The launching of this direct flight will contribute to the economies of both countries."
The new flight route will operate four times a week, flying on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday leaving from Denpasar's Ngurah Rai Airport at 11.00 p.m., arriving at Narita Airport in Tokyo at 7.10 a.m. Flights from Tokyo will return at 8.25 a.m. and land in Denpasar at 2.25 p.m.
The Airline will use Airbus A330-300 Airbusequipment configured for 337 passengers.
12 premium flatbed seats will be available on the new flight.
